On May 22, 2026, hundreds of attendees gathered at Lake George Battlefield Park for the Repose of the Fallen memorial ceremony, honoring the 44 Revolutionary War soldiers and civilians whose remains were discovered in 2019 and ceremonially reinterred following years of archaeological research, historical investigation, and community collaboration.
